5. Start-up and commissioning. We check refrigerant charge, airflow, electrical readings, heating operation and controls, and set up the thermostat or building controls.
6. Handover. You receive start-up readings and recommendations for maintenance.

How long does an RTU replacement take?

A like-for-like replacement on an existing curb is often completed in one day. Jobs that need curb adapters, electrical upgrades or duct changes take longer and are scheduled in advance.

Do I need a crane to replace a rooftop unit?

Most rooftop units require a crane lift. We coordinate the lift and timing as part of the project.

What size rooftop unit does my building need?

Size is based on a load calculation that considers square footage, insulation, windows, occupancy, lighting and equipment heat, not just the size of the old unit. Restaurants and gyms often need more capacity per square foot than offices.

Can a rooftop unit be replaced with a more efficient model on the same curb?

Often, yes. If the new unit has a different footprint, a curb adapter allows installation without rebuilding the roof curb.
